Get the Facebook Timeline RIGHT NOW!!

So, Facebook has revolutionized our social networking life. And it has been up-to-date with some awesome features like the 'Video Chat'. Facebook has introduced a host of new features and the most awaited one has to be the Timeline , which streamlines your Facebook account to give you a one stop view for all your activities you’ve gone on Facebook every since you’ve started to use it. Sounds great right, it is, but, Timeline is open just for developers for now.

What can you do to get the Facebook Timeline?
Simple become a Facebook developer, I know it sounds weird , but YES, become a developer, you would question, you don’t know, anything about development on Facebook. That is the the time when u stop and look at Technoholics!
When you have your Timeline, this is how it would look like,

So,Here are the steps to get your own Timeline:
1. Log in to Facebook.

3. On the Top of the screen you would see something called as APPS, click on that or go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps

4. Create a New App, Enter anything you wish in App Display Name and App Namespace, hit continue, enter the Captcha, Read through and agree to the Platform Privacy agreement. This is the step you need to be verified for.

5. Ensure you’re in your new app’s main settings screen. You should see your app’s name near the top of the page.

6.  Look for the “Open Graph” header, and click the “Get Started using open graph” link.

7. Create a test action for your app, like “watching” a “technoholic blog”, or “eat” a “ice-cream” (Any-thing you like)

8. This should drop you into an action type configuration page. Change a few of the default settings (You can do any thing you like as you aren't using the app), and click through all three pages of settings and hit the Save Changes and Next button.

9.  Wait 2-3 minutes

10. Go to Facebook, An invite to try Timeline should be waiting at the top of the page

11. Hit the Get it Now Button.

12. Take a screenshot, upload it on Facebook, Flaunt it man!

Predator

PREDATOR locks your PC when you are away, even if your Windows session is still opened. It uses
a regular USB flash drive as an access control device, and works as follows:
  • you insert the USB drive
  • you run PREDATOR (autostart with Windows is possible)
  • You do your work
  • when you're away from your PC,you simply remove the USB drive:
  • once it is removed, the keyboard and mouse are disabled and the screen darkens
  • when you return back to your PC, you put the USB flash drive in place:
  • keyboard and mouse are immediately released, and the display is restored

Confidential Folder Hider!!

Download the file attached here. When you’ll double click on the FolderLock.bat file for first time, a folder “Confidential” will be automatically created. You can move all your confidential data in that folder.

Now to lock the folder just double click on the file “Key”. You will get a confirmation message in Command Prompt. Type “y” to confirm. Now the folder “Confidential” will be locked and hidden.

If you want to access the contents of the folder then again double click on the batch file, you have created. Immediately you will be prompted to enter your password the default password is "default123". After that you can access the folder “Confidential”. If you want to change the password right click on the FolderLock.bat file n then find the text "default123" and change it to the password you want.

Hiding Your Files In A New Way!!

This is actually a trick to change the path of your folder using .bat file and not a  way to hide files and folder but it modifies the path of the folder in such a way that no-one can guess what’s inside it unless and until he knows the trick.
I have compiled all the coding into a small setup of four files which consist:
1) loc.bat
2) key.bat
3) ControlPannel
4) Folder Guard User’s Guide.
The information about hiding files is available inside the Users Guide. You can get it from the ControlPannel folder after installing it.
and download file named "Folder Guard(Rohan's Blog)"

Remove 'NOT GENIUNE' watermark from your desktop manually!!!!!

This was posted on microsoft website by the Windows people itself.........
(many people in the US had geniune win OS but were getting this 'NOT GENIUNE' watermark on their desktop , so as a result of thier numerous complaints....we have this....)
It was posted for Win XP but will work for vista and win7 also

    win7(copy not genuine)
  1. Launch Windows Task Manager.
  2. End wgatray.exe process in Task Manager.
  3. Restart Windows XP in Safe Mode.
  4. Delete WgaTray.exe from C:\Windows\System32.
  5. Delete WgaTray.exe from C:\Windows\System32\dllcache.
  6. Launch RegEdit.
  7. Browse to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify
  8. Delete the folder WgaLogon and all its contents
  9. Reboot Windows XP.
But the latest version of the WGN tool is a little tricky to handle. It will pop up again as soon as you end it from the task manager and while it is running in the memory, you can’t delete it too.

Here is how I did it :
  • Ignore Step #2 of ending wgatray.exe before restarting to Safe Mode as it serves no purpose.
  • At Step #4, wait on the deletion confirmation dialog box and then open task manager to end wgatray.exe
  • When you are again prompted for a confirmation for terminating the process, align that confirmation box over the delete confirmation box.
  • Press Yes on the Task Manager prompt and then quickly press Yes on the deletion confirmation. (You need to repeat this if you miss it)
  • If you did it quickly then you will be able to delete the file.
  • Step #5 can be missed. I was able to do it without the Step #5.
  • Complete Step 6 to 9 as instructed

How to Use Windows 7 Without Activation!!

Windows 7Most of you might be aware of the fact that it is possible to use Windows 7 and Vista for 120 days without activation. This is actually possible using the slmgr -rearm command which will extend the grace period from 30 days to 120 days. However in this post I will show you a small trick using which it is possible to use Windows 7 without activation for approximately an year! Here is a way to do that.

1. Goto “Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories” . Right click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator“. If you are not the administrator then you are prompted to enter the password, or else you can proceed to step-2.

2. Now type the following command and hit enter
slmgr -rearm

3. You will be prompted to restart the computer. Once restarted the trial period will be once again reset to 30 days. You can use the above command for up to 3 times by which you can extend the trial period to 120 days without activation.

4. Now comes the actual trick by which you can extend the trial period for another 240 days. Open Registry Editor (type regedit in “Run” and hit Enter) and navigate to the following location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

5. In right-side pane, change value of SkipRearm to 1.

6. Now you will be able to use the slmgr -rearm command for another 8 times so that you can skip activation process for another 240 days. So you will get 120 + 240 = 360 days of free Windows 7 usage.
120 days using “slmgr -rearm” command before registry edit

+

240 days using “slmgr -rearm” command after registry edit

= 360 Days

Set a program to run automatically (autorun)

Using autorun, you can set a program to start up automatically when you connect the drive to a computer. You can also use the same script for a data CD-ROM, DVD-ROM and USB drives.
1) Open up notepad and paste the following script:

[autorun]
ShellExecute=filename
Label=description
UseAutoPlay=1

2) Make sure you replace filename with the full path to the file. For example, a file calledprogram.exe in a folder called “programs” on     the thumb drive would be/programs/program.exe

3) Replace description with a short description of the program, for example, My Folder or XYZ.

4) Save the file as autorun.inf.

*Note: Some computers have autorun disabled for security purposes.
